Title: Comparison of Growth of cucumber in humic soil and sand.

Locally available Cucumber seeds were sowed on humic soil
and sand separately. Seedlings were observed frequently and watered regularly
in the evening. On the 15th day Length of seedlings were noted as
Humic soil= 5.1, 3.9, 3.9, 6.3, 7, 9.1, 7, 7.8, 8.9 (in cm)
.Mean growth=6.6 cm
Sand= 2.5,2.3, some still emerging. Mean Growth=2.4 cm
Conclusion: Growth of cucumber in humic soil is 2.75 times
greater than that on sand. Still we can grow them on sand.
Finally seedlings were planted on the required self made
structure as shown.
